The Immigration minister, Sean Fraser, announced that express entry will begin on July 6, 2022. This gives skilled foreign nationals renewed hope that they will be selected in the Express Entry pool to become permanent residents of Canada, where they will begin a new journey in their lives on the land of their dreams.
July 06, 2022, the Express Entry draw has been drawn and the lucky 1500 applicants will receive their selection information soon if they are still eligible to be in Canada in their respective fields. The minister has also announced that the processing time will also return to 6 months soon.
Because of the high cut-off score, those who were not chosen this time should not be discouraged because further rounds will be held in the future, and they will also have the opportunity to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
Since September of last year, the draws for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) have been postponed. In comparison, since December 2020, or more than 18 months ago, the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) have been suspended.
Express Entry, which was launched in 2015 and is used by many businesses in Canada, was created to draw in highly talented foreign employees through its programmes that result in permanent residency (PR).
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and a portion of the Provincial Nominee Program are among the programmes covered by EE (PNP).
Due to the pause in Express Entry draw back in December 2020, many employers faced issues in hiring the Foreign Skilled Workers and due to staff shortage, many businesses could not continue their service as pre-pandemic level which led the customers with great frustration. The less staff increased service delivery which also impacted the businesses a big time. Employers have been waiting for this news for a long time, so that they can hire enough staff to be ready for the Summer as everything opens up after the pandemic.
After the February 13, 2021 historic draw, there was a temporary hiatus that left many applicants unsure about when the draw would restart and their applications would be processed. With a low cutoff score of 75 for the final draw, the IRCC allowed 27,000 economic immigrants to apply under CEC, making it the biggest draw in Express Entry System ever.
